4 MILLION SUBSCRIBERS!!!! It’s hard to believe that only 3 years ago, I was posting the first video on this channel, curious if anyone would be interested in watching it. Now, here you all are. There’s no piece I’d rather celebrate 4M subscribers with than Chopin’s Ballade No. 4, a masterclass in romantic writing and one of his finest works. Thank you for being here with me on this journey, I hope you have a wonderful Thursday <3

progress - 3/11

Working on this feels like working through quick sand. It genuinely feels like two steps forward and one and a half steps backwards. But progress has been happening! (what do you know, practice 2-3 hours a day works wonders...) The coda is making immense progress, and the main troubles I have for the coda is the voicing of the chromatic in the first section and the discordant run. Everything else (including the thirds, surprisingly) have been somewhat smooth. Other places are probably the arpeggios during the climax and the section right after the first climax with the counterpoint. The first theme flourishes right before the second climax are also giving a bit of trouble, but its not the worst thing in the world. My main focus right now is the coda, everything else will be cleaned up soon. I'm genuinely so glad i was blessed with the talent for this, but talent can really only take you so far. Always work hard for your dreams, everyone.

Thank you, Rousseau for re-introducing me to the wonderful world of romantic music. I hope you're well wherever you are.
