Scriabin - Etude Op. 8 No. 12

Finally, some Scriabin. One of his earlier Etudes, written when Scriabin was around the age of 23, the strong influence of Chopin on his early musical language can be heard quite clearly here - the rhythmical figure of the theme is seemingly a reference to the Chopin Etude of the same number (i.e. Revolutionary). Yet, even amongst all of the 'Chopin' flavors, there is a heavy Russian influence which is distinctly Scriabin. There has been somewhat of a Scriabin revival over the last few decades, and appreciation for his musical output has been growing - something that he truly deserves given this statement made about him: "No one was more famous during their lifetime, and few were more quickly ignored after death."

This magical performance was recorded by SPQ last year, after sitting for almost a year as raw footage files I thought it finally needed to be edited and for you all to experience it! Wishing you all the best on this Monday ♥

What a poop and flat interpretation.

your lie in april!!!

If we think of this as melted ice cream, it’s about right as this has zero substance, zero passion, lacks anything of the Russian soul…it’s vapid, dull and utterly boring.

This is just bad

There’s seven major cords there’s seven major colours when I was young being a friend dropped a trip my mate started squealing telling me he sees colours coming out of the speakers from the music I didn’t see the colours but he was carrying on about it for ages

Tutto molto schematico, Scriabin non si suona così, non percepisco la drammaticità, il phatos, il “PATETICO” d’altronde non c’e un minimo di rubato, orribile.

You re GREATTTTT😮😊😊

Guys... Make the video to 1,25x trust me 🎉🎉🎉

Such a vanilla performance, as if AI is playing. You have somehow managed to make this piece seem boring.
