Chopin - Etude Op. 25 No. 5 (Wrong Note)

Chopin. Wrong Note Etude. The most common way I see this piece described is in two words: 'beautiful mess', 'harmonic dissonance', or 'perfectly imperfect' - but deeper than just this "mess" of "dissonance", more than anything I hear something like bittersweetness. The ebb and flow of tension and resolution that radiates out like a fractal, first in the 'wrong notes', but further in the melodic and harmonic shapes, and then in the whole structure of the piece - it's almost like a metaphor for life with our pleasure-and-pain-filled days, months and years. I also just want to let you all know that I'm taking a break from YouTube in January - which will be the first break since the start of this channel, in almost 2 years! There are so many amazing things I want to make for you outside of just YouTube videos, but have to take some time off from the relentless stress and deadlines that come with weekly (or bi-weekly) uploads! Probably the dedication of the ‘wrong note’ is probably chopins main name of the song because is you have a wrong note that’s indeed true then here are the reasons 1. This video won’t get lots of viewers and you won’t be subscribing to the one who is playing this song for us 2. It would not sound like what Chopin makes cause Chopin and Rousseau are 2 different people and do you know what’s worse you would not be watching this video and liking this comment 😅 who agrees?
